A small, but growing, group of diecast car (and accessories) collectors. Our motto is "Collectors with a Connection". We have members from Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Rhode Island, West Virginia, Tennessee, Washington, and California. All of us have met each other via the Internet or by another member. Our personal collections are uniquely diverse with Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning and Schuco being the major diecast providers. A couple of us concentrate on collecting and customizing Volkswagen stuff. The original objective of this group was to create a group of individuals that are willing to share in group purchasing, thus allowing all of to purchase diecast cars that we would normally not consider purchasing because of the high price. Other activities we will address are sharing of general diecast collecting and customizing information. In the near future we will establish a VDCG web page that will include individual member pages. This will allow the individuals to post For Sale and Wanted items along with Pics of there special and custom cars. We are a simple group with concentration on collecting and not reselling. Reselling is something we do to get rid of unwanted cars or collections or to raise enough cash to purchase another car that has become a Must Have. In our homes we all have a room, attic, or garage full of precious diecast cars that we very rarely see but can tell you the history of every item in stock. While some persons think of diecast collecting as revisiting our childhood or a sickness, we like to think of it as an alternative to hanging out in bars and drinking until you can not see well enough to drive and then doing so.
